Positive Lymph Node on Opposite Side

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting but I come here a lot for reassurance. I was diagnosed late 2016, had a lumpectomy and axillary node dissection (2/13 positive nodes), followed by chemo and radiation. I finished up treatment in August 2017. I had finally started to feel like things were getting back to normal and getting over the constant fear of reoccurance when I felt a swollen lymph node on the opposite side to my original breast cancer. I had a biopsy last week that came back positive for cancer cells. I have an array of tests booked in for the next couple of days to see if the cancer is anywhere else.

At the moment I guess there are three possibilities, the cells are from my original cancer and have traveled to the other side, I have a new primary cancer in the other breast or I also have metastatic disease elsewhere in my body. I don't really know if I have a question, i'm just scared out of my mind and wanted to write it down. Maybe someone on here has been in a similar situation.

No matter the outcome i'm definitely looking at more surgery and chemotherapy. I had honestly started to feel like this was all behind me, now I just feel like the cancer is everywhere :(
