one month before my 53rd Birthday

47 Drs. thought it was Stage 0 but biopsy showed IDC was mixed in. Showed up as calcifications on annual mammogram. Did not show on ultrasound. My mother was 44 when she was diagnosed. So, I had genetic testing for a full panel of 87 genes. All negative. Maybe it is a gene they have not yet discovered?

I was 53 at DX and 54 at surgery

- 59 when dx Stage O Encapsulated Papillary Carcinoma through core biopsy.Told it looked like benign Fibroadenoma on Mammo, but suspicious for malignancy on US, and due to my age, it would be unlikly to be fibroadenoma. I was told 20% chance of having another type of BC in there, but would not know until lumpectomy. Dx changed to Stage 1A IDC arising from Encapsulated PAPC.. I also had genetic testing full panel done (Negative)

61 at DX. Mother was 68. Sister was 65. I had IDC, Stage 1b, grade 1. Mom had a MX - don’t recall her DX but no lymph node involvement. Long time ago. She had a MX. Sister found a lump. Her’s was ILC. She also had MX. Mine was found on a mammogram. One breast bigger than the other. I had a lumpectomy and 33 radiation treatments.
7 years out in August God willing.
It is disturbing to see so many young women inflicted with this insidious disease especially ones with small children. It’s epidemic and discouraging.

70. The "girl" part of "rockymountaingirl" is poetic license. Or some kind of license. But I feel like a girl, so I'm keeping it.

diagnosed at 39 years old on 6/13/17 so almost a year ago. My kids are 6 and 9 and I worry every day about not seeing themgrow up. I suppose only time will help ease the worry.
Oops, I see this is for stage 1. Well, I guess I would be stage 1 based on the new staging this year, so hopefully I'm not intruding too mich

I was diagnosed this year at 45.

I was 43 (2005) when they found mine on a routine mammogram. Biopsy showed DCIS. Had a lumpecotmy and sentinal node biopsy. Stage 1 IDC. It came back 7 years later when I was 50 (in 2012), in my lungs and spine (now in lots of other bones and liver). Now Stage 4 metastatic. 6 years living with cancer, not dying from.
-
I was 45 the first time, and that small IDC was cured, after lumpectomy, radiation, and 5 years on Tamoxifen.I am 60 years old now. My MO assures me that this is a new primary cancer, not a recurrence from 2003.
