Hard lump in armpit

3 days ago, I found a lump in my armpit that is about the size of the tip of my index finger. It is not spongy, and when I put my fingers on each side and try to move it, it feels like it is attached to something in my arm. It is hard. I have an appointment in the morning to have it checked but I have read up on several sites and a couple of types of breast cancer has symptoms of lump in armpit. Scary to me. Has anyone on here had the lump in armpit that ended up being cancer?

Thanks, Renee

Chances are it has nothing to do with BC as there are a lot of things that can cause lymph nodes to to swell. Also lymph nodes can be clumped together in fatty tissue so it would be really hard to say if it feels sinister.

Good luck with your appt and sending good vibes your way.

Lots of times its not a node either. Sebaceous cysts in your axilla are also very common
