29 years old, Stage 3c, for now
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, grade 3. 7 cm tumor in left breast, with positive cancer found in lymph nodes in neck by my clavicle and under my arm. I go for a pet scan tomorrow to see if it is any farther along, if it is I will be at stage 4.
I have a bilateral mastectomy scheduled for the 19th for now unless I am stage 4.
No history of breast cancer in my family. Lucky me.
I saw a thread about essential oils and I can't find it now, if someone could point me in the right direction.
Needless to say, I am pretty terrified.

I am sorry you have had to join us here and at such a young age too. As for the essential oils, doing a search pulls up anything that has the word in it. Maybe in the alternative or holistic forum? I know frankincense is a popular one. Prior to being officially diagnosed but I knew something was up I did some google research and came across some good articles on frankincense Figured it could not hurt. I bought the essential oil and would rub in my boobs and on bottom of feet.
Do you know the hormonal factors of your tumor ER,PR and HER2?
Please let us know how your pet scan goes. Sorry I could not be of more help. I'm sure many others will be posting soon. Know you are not alone, we are all here for you and you will get through this scary time. Sending positive vibes your way.

sorry that you have had to join this group. Just the other day, i met a breast cancer survivor who is now 36 years old, happily married and had cancer and chemo and double mastectomy all at age 30. You will survive this . Keep us posted on yoru PET scan results. If chemotherapy has been mentioned, please ask your doctors about fertility preservation if you want to preserve your ability to haev children in the future. This may not be at the top of your mind right now but with your young age this is an important question to ask. Also ask your doctors about genetic testing . Sending lots of gentle supportive hugs. Honor your emotions and keep your strength .

sending you hugs.... Xoxoxo

sending hugs your way! I was diagnosed in April and I’m 33 so not much older than you. If you’re going to go the essential oils route to help with treatments just make sure they are approved and safe for skin contact, not all are! I know doTerra is a good brand.

It's a crazy diagnosis for anyone, but being young adds another dimension to it I think. I felt like all my friends were getting married, having kids, getting jobs, getting degrees, and I got... cancer. I had no family history either. It sucks, but just remember that you're not alone. Things will settle down as you adjust and form a treatment plan too. Sending hugs and best wishes to you. Please keep us posted.

Oh Amanda, {HUGS} I am so sorry that you have joined our "club".
https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/121/topics/824035?page=6#post_5213204 - a link to the essential oil forum. Some essential oils are not good to use if you are HR+, make sure you do your research before using. I found out that Clary Sage, one of my favourites was not good for estrogen positive cancer.
We are here for you if you need to talk, vent, cry, etc.

Oh Amanda bless your heart you are so young to be dealing with this insidious disease but there are a lot of women in your age group who have survived the DX. Not easy but you can do it. Doctors typically treat younger women like yourself with aggressive treatments.
Keep the faith and keep us posted.
