Waiting
Hello all, my name is Katherine, I am 50, discovered 3 lumps in my right breast while checking myself over after a car accident. at the beginning of May. No family history. Had diagnostic mammogram and u/s last Friday One lump looks b9, 2 look suspicious with a possible area that could be one of the suspicious lumps or a 3rd suspicious site. Vacuum Assisted Biopsy is scheduled for Friday on two sites with results ready in 4 business days from my regular doctor. I am really hoping they will give me the results over the phone as I feel there is no need to see the family doctor, just to get referrals if it is not good results or if b9 another mammogram in 6 months. I am kind of expecting bad results, and for some reason that is not making me overly upset. It is just life and will be what it will be. If the results are good, then that is wonderful news.
I just hate the waiting game....darn it they had them spotted in the u/s, why not just do the biopsy then? I am not a patient person and it kills me seeing the waste of time and energy in the medical field as my premiums go up. - see above statement about doctor visit for results. (sorry just venting).
I am trying to stay busy with work and hobbies and I do have a wonderful husband and we have discussed a lot in the last week. I need some good Netflix shows to watch that aren't sad to watch over the next two weeks. Any suggestions?

Hi Jobrerry,
I watched 12 seasons for Grey's Anatomy since I was diagnosed 3 months ago. I picked this because I have never watched medical dramas, and though they are dramas, I actually learned how hospitals are run and what surgeries looked like. I never had any health issues and the only surgeries I've had were C-sections of my kids. I also didn't want the drama to end before my treatments end. My friend told me to watch Games of Throne but I haven't finished Grey's yet so maybe another time. I just fast forward the kissing scenes and the surgeries that were too horrific to watch. made me feel like my bc was not a big deal.

I will be praying for good news. Keep yourself busy and try not to think about it. Good luck

Hi there.posting the report might help with some advice. I had my US 13 days agoand I don't have my biopsy until NEXT Thursday. However I did see a breast surgeon who eased my mind today. Waiting is horrible. Please don't be like me and jump to the worst conclusion!

Hello nonomimi5 - thank you for the prayers and the advice. I have never watched any of Grey's Anatomy or Game of Thrones - so I may have to check them out. Currently watching Glee on Netflix and old episodes of Emergency! with my husband on our Firestick I have several knitting and crocheting projects to work on and a new sewing machine that I have to learn how to use. So plenty to keep busy. I don't have any vacation time right now, but my work is letting me come in and work to make up the time I am missing which helps with the paycheck. Thanks again!

I did post my mammogram results in the Not Diagnosed but Worried forum and that was a big help - especially in helping my husband understand what is going on. I have a breast surgeon picked out, as I have a skin disease that affects my underarms and breast area. I have seen him before for that condition, so I know he will understand some concerns that I have if I need surgery. I'm not trying to jump to worst conclusion, but I do realize the results could be anywhere from b9 to worst. But I also know worst does in no way shape or form mean the end. Just a big bump in the road of life
Sending good thoughts about your results! and am thinking of you.
