Wednesday Weigh In

I am at five years since surgery but not yet five of treatment. The aim right now is just to discontinue the Lupron. I had regular periods at 52 when I started treatment and no signs of menopause plus my mom didnt hit menopause until late 50s so they continued the lupron all this time. She would like me to stay on the AI for 10 but I was a recurrer so that plays into the decision. I am actually on exemestane now and havent had the issues I had on the anastrazole and letrozole so I am in favor of 10 until research is cle

Twohobbies,
Did you have a recurrence after a BMX and Tamo after your first DX?
-
Yes, lucky me. I'm in the <5% bucket - mastectomy that have local recurrence. I feel like tamoxifen just didn't work for me. But anyway, AIs are working fine.
-
TwoHobbie,
That sucks. How did you discover the recurrence?
-
Down .6 lb yesterday at ww weigh in. I was prepared for a small gain or maintenance. I will try harder this week!! It would be nice to see a whole pound down!
-
Down 0.3 kg. I will also try harder next week, particularly as I just bought a bathing suit that's a bit snug. The things we do...
-
I’m up .4 but I’m not surprised, it’s been a stressful week, not many good home cooked meals and my thyroid meds are being increased. Never had thyroid problems before, so it’s either from chemo or rads to the clavicle area. Oh well, I’ll make a better effort this week.
Yay! For the losers!
-
Down .5. At least I'm on the way back to what I weighed a few weeks ago.
-
Down .5. I am going on vacation next week so.....you know what will happen there!
-
I was pleasantly surprised at weigh in yesterday, down 2.8 to 150.8. Even though I was away for 10 days and not following WW, I did eat pretty well and smaller portions, and when we got back from DC we went right back on our WW program. Still looking forward to when I can break the 150 barrier. Hoping to get to 140, a weight I have not seen in many many years, but that would put me in a healthy BMI range, which is my ultimate goal.
-
Maybe we should call ourselves the Partial Pound Losers and Gainers!! Better partial lbs. than multiple lbs.
Enjoy your vacation, Ruthbru. Even when we splurge, we can use moderation. Like having a small hot fudge sundae (as I did on Tuesday night) instead of a large one. Last night I ate half my medium-sized baked potato and was satisfied. It takes less butter on a half!
-
I seem to have broken through my 127 lb set point and am down anywhere from 2-3.5lbs, depending on the day. That may sound paltry, but for me, it’s huge. Trying to build muscle and bone at the same time so there’s a balancing act. If I eat too little, no energy for running/hiking/biking, etc. Too much and the weight comes roaring back, as you all know.
-
Gained another pound this week. I'm up three from my lowest since joining this thread. Thanks for helping keep me accountable. Glad to hear of your successes. I am looking forward to summer and the extra exercise that'll come my way!
-
I am up .8 this week but not so upset since it is the same weight I was the week before last. I am glad to be bopping up and down at an overall lower range. Small victories.
-
- Down 2.25lbs this week. Weight 136.5lbs. I’m happy with my efforts. Having porridge for breakfast seems to help. If I skip breakfast, I tend to go crazy later. X
-
Happy for you Scotbird. Porridge for breakfast is what I make for DD and myself most mornings. DH is a breakfast-skipper. I don't know how he does it.
Down 0.5 kg. My pants are finally no longer too tight and I can breathe again.
-
great job, Heidi and Scot!
I'm also down 1.5 lb this week. I ate less and exercised more.
Friday is my stage two reconstruction. Then, I hope to break up with my PS for good. So probably not much exercise but probably not much eating during recovery. We shall see how it goes
-
Up .5, probably due to a 2-day sweetness craving which I satisfied.
-
Congrats Scot, Heidi, Falconer. I gained 2.6 this week, to 153.4. I am not surprised, been eating out alot and having too many cocktails. Plus this is around the weight I can never get below, up a pound, down 2, up 3 - and so it goes. But I really want to break through this barrier and get to a healthy BMI. Next week is a week of camping at the beach, so perhaps the threat of wearing a bathing suit will keep me honest with my food intake!
-
mmmm... sweets and cocktails 😀
I’m up .8 and I have a month packed with birthdays, summer parties and a retirement lunch, so I doubt I’ll be losing next week but June will definitely be delicious 😋
-
I was up 1.6 lbs at my WW weigh in on Monday. I wasn't surprised because I felt bloated. Hope to do better this week.
Congratulations to losers!
-
On vacation, no scale....which is both a good and bad thing....
-
Ruth, on vacation no scale is just the way it should be! Enjoy!
-
I'm at a plateau again, going up and down between 133.8 and 135.2. Maybe I'll break through next week.
-
Two Hobbies, that sounds like such a nice plateau to one who hasn't seen that weight range for decades!
-
Same as last week. It was a struggle to maintain with a weekend of great eating.
-
At Monday WW meeting, I was down 1.2 lbs which mean I didn't quite lose all of the 1.6 lbs I gained the week before. But at least I wasn't up! Got to look on the positive side.
-
Up1.75lbs to 138.25. Not complaining, I ate a lot yesterday!
-
I’m up 1, not really unexpected.
-
Up 1.5 pounds, which is great considering how much I ate on vacation!
