Wishing all of you with info coming in this week the very best.

My biopsy is in the morning finally. Getting ready to spend some time with my granddaughter. I have been thinking of all of you here and continue to pray.
What is the standard turnaround time for the biopsy results?
-
I had biopsy yesterday at 1pm. Doctor said she will have results after 4pm today
-
Hate to say...I had mine on a Friday, didn't have results until the following Thursday. The waiting for everything BC related sucks.
-
Had my biopsy this morning. The radiologist said "it doesn't look good" that I'll definitely need surgery. I'm less optimistic now that the lump is benign. Of course the crying started all over again. Should I begin to look for breast surgeon recommendations before I get the biopsy results?
-
Sorry that he feels it is cancer. Any friends that can give you recommendations. Never hurts to have a second opinion either. Hope you can get some sleep tonigh

Cindymb- I was so hoping you'd go unscathed. Its your call if you want to search out a breast surgeon now. I waited until the results were given to me.
My ob/gyn gave results on a Thursday and she had already called a surgeon to set up an appointment. I didn't use that surgeon but it was nice to be seen the following week. The surgeon group I picked was closer to my home, and took extra days to get in to see. I also had a breast MRI between visiting with the 2 surgeons; ob/gyn got that cleared by my insurance and gave me the script, even had front desk call before I left her office to get me in.
If you have some surgeon in mind, I'm thinking out loud kind of...it can't hurt to make a call to see when you could get in. You can always cancel.
Start a note book if you haven't already. List questions you have, and answers they give. Also get copies of all tests. You will be overwhelmed and writing it down helps when you review it all later. Also take someone with you. We tend to only hear 1/2 or less of what is said.
Keep us posted. HUGS to you!

Well I received the phone call.....IDC. Doesnt appear that lymph nodes are affected. I guess I'll know more after my breast surgeon appt on Wednesday. I dont know why I feel almost some relief. Hoping it will be somewhat uphill from here, that there will be a clear plan of attack. How are you other ladies doing?
Cindy

You know, I felt the same way. Relieved, almost giddy. Not that I was happy to have cancer, but just relieved to know what I was dealing with. Having an answer meant I would also have a plan shortly and THAT made me feel more in control.
-
I'm glad you're getting in to the surgeon on Wednesday. Things will definitely get decided quicker than if you had to wait to get in.
Sorry you had to join the group that no one wants to be in, but you have a sisterhood in this community. Good juju to you on Wednesday!

thank you CindyNY 🤗
-
Cindymb, now ends the unknown wait and starts the path to recovery.
