Mesenteric Panniculitis

Hi

I got in my last three scans this new rare condition, Mesenteric Panniculitis. My oncologist hadn't heard of it. From the articles I read it is always associated with some type of cancers. Have any of you been diagnosed with this? If so, how are you treating it?

I am posting an update in case someone is coming to the site looking for information on mesenteric panniculitis. I saw Dr Carl Crawford a great gastroenterologist in New York. He said MPann is the inflammation of the fat tissue in the abdominal cavity. This is caused by Taxol sometimes but it could be a symptom of other cancers like ovarian or colon. In my case he asked me to be up to date with my Pap smear and colonoscopy. He also sent me to a rheumatologist to check for autoimmune diseases and inflammation markers in blood.
