Radiation therapy: Manuka honey?

I have a friend who will be under going rads for BC starting next week. I have experience with Manuka honey for wound healing, but have no idea of it helps with certain kind of rads. Im asking about it being helpful with the burns that come with rads
Anyone have experience with this, or knowledge? TIA
