I need a drink
Seriously! I just want to open a bottle of wine and have a drink. I am just over a week out of surgery, MX, SNB, TE......still no staging diagnosis, learning that my cancer is likely an aggressive, low responding to treatment type...single with complicated relationship....just want a drink right now. I won’t. On too many meds post surgery. But geesh, I neeed one.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Your dx looks like one of my tumors. I had 2, an ilc and an idc each 1cm, er 95% pr negative her2-. I was grade 2 and had an oncodx score of 34. I did no chemo, no radiation and 4 years of AI drugs. I didn't have any positive nodes.
I did a mastectomy on left, wonderful Diep reconstruction and moved on 7 years no sign of it coming back. Chemo was recommended but I didn't do it mostly because my mitotic score was 1 on both tumors indication of slow growth.
I would love to have a glass of wine with you. Funny, when I read single with complicated relationship, for a moment I thought you were talking about the tumor.

Hey, girls! Add me to your drinking buddies list. My first chemo session will start on May 31, so i have only 2 more days to drink all the wine I can, and then hard stop until October. Waiting is the worst! I was diagnosed on March 26, and had to wait for the receptors for almost a month! Finally they did another biopsy, which came back 2 days before the surgery. FaithsMama, I learned my stage on the first post op appointment. Uou shoukd be getting close to it. Stay strong! Mentally clinking glasses with you

Sounds good ladies(raising my glass),“clink”.
Meow 13, I had one tumor that was just under 2 inches that was er+ pr+ Her-. The other tumornis er+, pr-, her-.
I am unclear if this makes me triple negative or not.
So much going on in addition to cancer. Its overwhelming some days.
-
Triple negative would be er- pr- and her2-. So you are hormone positive 2inches is about 5 cm and you have another one 1cm. Do you have the results from the SNB? I know the stage guidelines have been updated but early stage is anything other than stage 4. It is a wait and see game. My very good friend was stage 3C with many nodes positive grade 3 she had a bmx, radiation 2x, chemo, hormone therapy and she is 20 years out and NED.
Don't be too focused on the stage, make sure you get good surveillance in terms of regular testing and scans.

Hey Faith, from the tests, to diagnosis, to wait, wait, wait, it seems never ending....but it does. You will get your life back even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. I remember a number of times saying “stop the world, I want to get off”, one damned thing after another. This is the rough time, but it will settle down and you’ll get back to living again, that’s a promise. When the meds wear off:
-
Meow, thank you. Yes, my nodes are clean, good news. One of my tumors is low grade. Also good news. News that my drs aren't giving me info on, is the tumor with prog (-) and the fact that the tumor was too close to the chest wall to give clear margins. So, those are the waiting games. I have other things going on in my life, adding to my stress, making things seem more important than they are I suppose. But, don't we all.
-
Eegads, thank you. I will try to see that future of "life to normal" again. I have a male friend in my life. A complicated relationship. He lives with me. Works for me. And we have a very...idk other than complicated relationship. Of course now with my breast cancer, things are getting very very stressful. Too much to explain now. But, I am finding, I don't know how to deal with his/our shit and cancer at the same time. Having a rough week in that regard. Thank you for the reminder to look ahead!

Thinking of you FaithsMama, hope you get some relief soon.
-
Thank you Meow13. Had a much better day today. I actually worked an entire shift! It felt really good!! Talked with my friend and while things aren’t resolved, they are better.
How is everyone else doing
-
Faith - so good to see you had a better day, life throws us so much at the wrong time. Nice that you’re working through things with your friend. Hope that continues...you deserve it!!

Good for you, FaithsMama! When are you going to get the full pathology report
-
70Charger, Now thats what I’m talking about!!
Inab2028, I did get my post surgery pathology, if thats what you mean. There is still no staging yet because of the unique nature of my results. At least that is what my surgeoun says. I need to meet with Oncology, then radiology next week. Then they meet with my surgeon and collectively decide my case.
-
FaithsMama, don’t worry about the stage. The tumor was small and grade 2 is still considered low grade, I believe. It’s fixable, as my BS likes to say.
