Thank u fr replying allison..and sad to hear about bone mets also.I've scoured the net for more info on the nodes but there's very little there.

My mom ws diagnosed with extensive bone mets and in the followup scan the medisstinl and hilar have lit up.:(...did they do a biopsy ? The largest lesion is 1cm in size...she was having so much improvements in the symptoms..and this turns up.

I hope we continue to fight this menace.sending prayers your way.x

Hello. I am glad I found this site. I too have mediastinal and hilarious nodes mets. My problem now is that I have vocal chord paralysis which may be due to the tumor pressing on a nerve. Anyone here ever experience this?

Yes Yes Yes! I have exactly that. Woke up with a paralyzed left vocal cord. I can’t speak above a whisper. I have a choking Issue at times with food and liquids. I have had a horrible dry cough for months and have syncope when I stand up. There are only two laryngologists in Florida who treat vocal cord paralysis by injecting a bulking agent or surgery. I have a mass is my anterior medistinum that is 2 cm x 1.7 cm. They think it is pressing on the vagus nerve and laryngeal nerve. I have been on Ibrance which shrunk it from 4 cm. Recurring pleural effusions too . Please keep in touch and let us know if you find relief.

    Thanks, Deb
