Here I Go Again :( Venting and any experience appreciated
About 5 years ago I was here to get advice, it turned out I had a fibroadenoma. All of you were so helpful. Unfortunately I am back. About a month ago I suddenly had bloodly discharge from one nipple. I was due for my annual Mammogram anyway so perfect timing I guess. After the first time it spontaneously was bloody, now most of the time it just feels like it builds up and gets achy, itchy, burn is not exactly the right word but odd sensations. If I touch or move the nipple it will drain or express it will now be a milky/bloody mix then pure blood. The more it builds up the more annoying it is and more likely it is to spontaneously be just bloody discharge. With all the doctors of late milking me build up is not too bad most of the time.
The Mammo was Negative but they said I had very dense breast and needed an MRI. MRI light up like a Christmas Trees with lots of lights bulbs. They said I have "cystic" and "dense" breasts but still did not see the reason for the blood. The surgeon sent me for an ultrasound today.
So here we are: I have not gotten the official report yet but here is the break down of what he said:
Many cysts, Many dilated Ducts, A few posb. papilloma's. One seemed of specific concern to them (Near the outside edge of the breast closer to the arm pit area and He and the assistant whispered about it. ugh. (I am hard of hearing and sometimes my ears play ticks on me but I swear I heard the word cancer) Up to this point I had been calm and convinced myself it was just another benign annoying problem. I will not get the results until tomorrow and I really needed to vent. My husband is a Marine and on a mission for the next few weeks. Stressing on this alone is not very fun.
Any similar experiences out there with multiple things going on at the same time. Thanks for your time.

I do not have the same experiences as you, but I wanted to let you know I'm here for you, sending you lots of virtual hugs! I'm sorry you are going through this again, but you are not alone. This is a great place for support. Hang in there! Hopefully others with similar findings will chime in. I hope there is a benign explanation for your symptoms! xx

Hi Hot-Mess,
Many years ago I had bloody fluid oozing from my nipple. The breast surgeon made an incision next to the nipple and removed a small sample of the fluid and a tiny bit of tissue for testing. It turned out to be benign. Hopefully this will comfort you until you find out the result from your doctor. When I finally developed cancer 20 years later, it was in the other breast with no nipple discharge. Go figure. Please let us know the result of your biopsy, so we can celebrate the good news with you, or provide you with support if needed.

it kind of sounds like an abcess especially with the milky to blood description. The milky could just be pus. Abcesses are often filled with blood and pus and they tend to refill and recur. Not fun but better than BC for sure. Keep us posted..in the meantime, keep in mind that worrying today won’t change the test results you receive tomorrow, but it does rob today if it’s happiness.
