Small bump on skin

Hello all. I have a diagnostic mammogram scheduled for June 1, which was actually made for another issue. But now I am having a new symptom on my other breast that I am curious about.

I have a new, small flesh colored bump on the skin of my left breast on the underside. I would say it is about half a centimeter in diameter. When I poke, it feels firm. Like a small sesame seed or something. I am sure the mammogram will be able to tell me if this is something to worry about. But in the meantime, does anyone have any ideas what this could be besides just cancer? It is right under the skin. I am wondering if it’s possibly an epidermoid cyst or something.

We booked a vacation months ago that I am going on before my mammogram. Now this is going to be on my mind the whole time. ugh.

The bump could be many things that are benign. I recently had a bump removed from my shoulder that I thought might be a lipoma or an odd mole. It turned out to be a collagenoma, which is a benign flesh-colored growth.

I love Google. If you go to Google and click on Images first then type flesh colored papule in the search box, you will get pages and pages of pictures. If you find a picture you think matches, you can click on the picture and see what it's website has to say about it. I have a tiny sesame seed (1 mm) bump same breast same location same color.

Don't click on this link if you are squeamish:

Thanks for your input, everyone. I'm trying to leave it alone mentally because I know there is nothing I can do anyway between now and my appointment, but it always helps to try and reassure yourself in the mean time lol.

Part of why I'm so freaked out (and why they ordered a mammogram, even though I'm only 28) is that my dad was recently diagnosed with breast cancer at 71, and having a first degree male relative with BC is apparently a significant risk factor.

Recap - I don't really see anything on that search that looks exactly like what I have, but thank you! I try to avoid googling, especially with skin things, it feels like such a guessing game. And I'm often poor at it lol.

Just in case anyone searches this and wants an answer, here's an update. I consulted with a dermatologist who seemed pretty confident that this was a skin issue and not a breast problem (and that unless it changes or annoys me, we can ignore it). Today, I had a mammogram and an ultrasound which confirmed that this little bump IS in fact inside the skin and not in my breast tissue. So, hooray for benign findings!
