Fast growing lumps

Hey all I've been lurking here for a few months. I just wanted to get opinions on my situation. I'll try to keep it brief...

The end of Feb I found a lump. I'm 35 years old. My gyno had me wait a month to see if it was a cyst. After that month he scheduled me for a mammogram. 2 days later I had a 3d mammogram done. The radiologist sent me the same day for a ultrasound. The radiologist report says my breast's are asymmetrical, a mass was felt, but could not be determined on ultrasound. She recommended a MRI. My MRI wasn't scheduled for 3 weeks and in that time another lump pooped up overnight and the redness over my first lump spread over 1/3 of my breast. I freaked out and went to a bigger ER to be seen because at the rate the 2 lumps are growing it's scaring the crap out of me.

So at the bigger ER they didn't really do too much the ER doctor called the senior breast surgeon on staff. He ordered another ultrasound. He said he wasn't messing around because my birad score was 4c and it looked highly suspicious. He took 4 biopsies and one fine needle aspiration, bUT there was less than 1CC of bloody fluid. He also started me on bactrim.

When my biopsy results came back there was no sign of cancer just acute and chronic inflamation. He scheduled me for another biopsy this time guided by ultrasound because he wants to make sure he hit the masses and not inflamation around the masses. I go tomorrow morning for that.

He is thinking that I have fat necrosis from injury. I do have a 4 year old who regularly is careless and whops me in the chest so I can buy that theory. However, last week when I saw him the inflamation was about 90% better. That was short lived, it lasted Tuesday and Wednesday. By today the swelling is really bad and the lumps are rapidly growing. I would guess they between 2-3 cms bigger than last week. That is just the hard part of the mass, not including swelling.

I have no idea what is in store for me tomorrow. The biopsies at the ER were very angry and swollen for days afterwards. I'm also not finding a lot that decribes my symptoms. I have tenderness, but no pain. No symptoms of infection. I don't have much sanity left because this is worrying me sick. Last week I was happy thinking ok fat necrosis that's not the end of the world, but he said it would keep getting better and it is a lot worse. The small lump is the size of a golf ball and the bigger lump is the size of a mandarin orange at this point.

I don't know what I can do to better prepare for my biopsy tomorrow, what to ask the surgeon on Thursday, or what in the world this could be.

I am so sorry you find yourself here, Mokane. I remember how scary the waiting was. I feel like the dr's should hand you a prescription for Ativan when they tell you that you need further follow-up. You'll get through it, just put one foot in front of the other. Be sure to ice after the biopsies. My ultrasound biopsy was pretty easy.

It sounds like your dr is taking all the right steps and making sure you don't fall through the cracks. Are you seeing a breast specialist on Thursday? Usually those appointments are geared to explain everything you need to know. Keep hanging out here. We'll be sending lists of hugs.

I do see the breast specialist Thursday. I guess what has me worried again is when he explained fat necrosis he said since it was looking better it shouldn't get worse. It's gotten worse again in the last week. I sure hope this biopsy goes better than the last one. The swelling was very painful and no amount of ice and ibprofen made it better.
