Hi! I was just told I have fine pleomorphic calcifications in a grouping:

Finding 1: Fine pleomorphic calcifications with a grouped distribution are identified in the anterior third of the right breast at 9 o'clock, 2 cm from the nipple. Findings are best appreciated on the right XCCL, slice13/38 and likely the right MLO slice
    9/35.

My sister was diagnosed with high grade DCIS when she was 45. I am 41. This is my second mammogram. These were not here first time. From what I’ve read online the words “fine” and pleomorphic are not good. Mine aren’t micro in size tho.

Do u al think this could be cancer? I have my diagnostic mammogram on Wednesday. Give me the honest truth. Worried bc of my sister. She is fine and I know I would be tho 😀

Anyone else have this and have cancer or no cancer?

    Thanks!!

It is possible to have calcifications of serious concern but have benign findings pathology-wise. Personally I was in the middle, clustered, category and benign. 9 - 12 quadrant is also a factor.
