2 biopsies tomorrow - 5/8 bleah!
I just have to say it somewhere - I am having two core biopsies tomorrow, one on each side, and am sick about it. Never had one before. My mind is going to the worst places and this is bringing up all kinds of bad memories from losing my spouse to cancer. I am a single mom and it's hard keeping this all in!

Hi there. I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. It’s incredibly stressful, being uncertain and having to wait for answers. You’re among wonderful people here in the meantime. The biopsy procedure was not at all terrible for me. The waiting was!
Please talk with folks here as much as you like. Hoping for a smooth procedure and benign results!

Hi EveryTime, Had a biopsy a couple weeks ago. I didn't feel a thing. Hoping for benign results for you. We've all been there so reach out whenever you need to.
-
so sorry you’re dealing with all this. I agree with the others, biopsy wasn’t as bad as I was fearing, the waiting is super difficult. Hoping you get benign results.
-
Thanks everyone, super encouraging. I will be sure to post an update. I am thoroughly exhausted from all the worry and build up around this.

The biopsies are done. It was super stressful, but not painful. The one biopsy they did with ultrasound guidance did not sample the finding from the original mammogram.
So we will have to figure out what to do about that mammogram finding after these results come back. They did another ultrasound and did not turn anything up at that location. If these results are both benign, I will probably have an MRI. Thanks.

Ugh, the waiting is hard. I just keep telling myself that however I feel doesn't change the facts. But, really, waiting for a phone call...I wish they would just email it or something.

Everytime - as a single mother that waited and agonized during the process, my heart goes out to you. I also am truly sorry about your spouse. Your plate is fuller than anyone needs to endure. You’re right, nothing changes the facts, it will be what it is. I know your biggest fear is for your children. That drove me crazy. Keep in mind though you still aren’t sure of those facts quite yet, and don’t lose hope. Try not to dwell and keep moving while waiting for the phone to ring. It’s about the only thing that kept me sane....I had the clearest desk at work and the cleanest house in the neighbourhood by the time I was done. Post when it gets overwhelming, we’re here for you! Big hug!

I just got the call and the report for both is BENIGN. One fibroadenoma (thought I was a little old for one of those, but whatever) and one, just, fibro-fatty tissue. Thank you - it was a long month! I cannot complain now - grateful for the good result.
