when you talk about compression garments are you talking about the medical grade ones or ones like spanx?
-
Joanne- here are some links to the brand of compression garments the docs down at NOLA use for their patients. The first two have zippers on the sides so you can put it on and do it all the way up and then adjust it by raising/lowering one or both zippers until you get the compression you need and minimize the discomfort. I would wear mine zipped all the way up then a few hours later I’d unzip it about 5 inches and roll that portion down for some relief. I’d wear it over night that way too. They run small, so order the next size up or the the one that matches the larger size that one of your body measurements match (ex: your measurements are 40-35-43 and the waist measurement falls into a larger size than the hip/bust measurement, order the larger size that the waist measurement falls into. The bra straps shown in the pics are removable and I never wore them as NOLA didn’t even have them on the girdle post-surgery. And it does stay up without the straps.

These next two are links to adjustable abdominal binders:

And since you mentioned the bra being miserable, here’s a link to the bra they use at NOLA and it’s not uncomfortable at all:

Another place for comfortable post surgical bras is anaono.

Hope this helps!

no problem Joanne! I hope you feel better. Do you think you have a bug or med related? On the bra, did you look at the anaono site? I’ve never experienced/seen bras as soft, non-irritating and without ride-up as those. I bought the full coverage pocketed bra and loved it. Here’s the direct link to that bra. The pictures don’t do it justice.
