Emrobn, I’ve said it a few times on here, waiting is like being skinned and rolled in salt. Keeping busy is good, try your best to do so, might help a wee bit. Also try to keep the stats in mind, the vast majority of findings are benign. If it’s been steady for three years it’s encouraging, cancer generally likes to grow steadily, but I’m not a doctor so I’m not saying that with certainty. Everyone and every cancer can be different. The stats are something to count on, so hold tight to that when your mind shifts to dark thoughts. Your results should be in soon, can you call to enqure? Might get the ball rolling. Sending my best for good results, keep us posted

Thanks for the reply :) stats are encouraging for sure! That's what I try to focus on, I feel silly letting my mind wander to negitive thoughts but I can't help it.

No need to feel silly, I think it's a common and normal reaction. Us humans are wired for survival so when something comes along that possibly threatens it, we go into overdrive. We have evolved enough to throw reason at it, which is a good 'surviving the wait' technique. Its so hard to keep balanced between the good and bad, hence why we call it a rollercoaster. Again, stay busy any way you can, it lessens the load, and keep your stat focus in place. I know I can't take your fears away, but know that every member here is there for you, has gone through it, and are pulling for you! Hugs!

I’m right there with you, waiting on biopsy results Emrobn. And, that’s not silly at all for letting your mind wander, how can we not? We are being faced with something potentially serious. Chances are, for most of us, that it will be nothing, but it’s hard not to think about that little “what if” nugget hanging over our heads. Hang in there and I hope you get your results soon! Did they say about how long the results would take to come in

    Hey kellygreenme,

I was told at the hospital results would be sent to my family Dr in 5-10 days... Time is going so slow it seems..

    What about you?

I wish they were able to get them to you sooner!

I was told the radiologist will call me directly to go over the results and answer any questions I might have. They must do their own pathology in house, because they said I would receive a call by the end of the second day...which i know is not typical. I should have results today.
