Hello - I had mammogram (15 slides) and the ultrasound Monday, and everyone acted like I had cancer. Asking if I wanted a hug, sad looks on their face. They did a biopsy in one of the masses and it was AWFUL. It’s 4”x5” black and blue and still hurts.

Doctor said to call Wednesday for results. She didn’t have them yet. Called yesterday and no answer so I called the nurse that had told me to call for anything.

Another nurse answered and said “you have invasive ductal carcinoma” and the Doctor would call me. I’m scheduled to have four more biopsies. I don’t want another one!

So now I wait for answers. I’m mad that it was dropped on me this way and have no further information - so I’m just sitting here staring out the window and found this site.

Ugh. The worst! I'm so sorry people won't talk to you and give you some answers! You are in the scariest part right now--you don't know anything yet except that there's something to know. When you get some concrete news, whatever it is, things will get better. Hang in there!

Sorry for your bad news...hopefully your doctor will call soon! Did you have a bunch of areas of concern (hence the multiple biopsies?) If so they probably want to check those out so that they know what kind of surgery to offer you, and to see what other kinds of treatment you might need.

I just wanted to add that with my most recent biopsy, my BS apologized in advance--he said he could tell by the way he had to go in that there would be a lot of bruising. Really no way around it. Just be sure to keep that breast as calm/quiet as you can. I'm sure you were recommended to wear a bra 24-hours a day for about a week?
