Hi everyone

Ive been following these forums for a few weeks now. Back in the beginning of April i had a dr appt and mentioned i had some breast pain and itchiness. Never really thought much of it but dr did an exam and found a lump. She is sending me for a mammo/us. Wait times here for u/s are ridiculous. By the time i have it i will have waited about 5 weeks. Im trying not to freak myself out but at this point im prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. Ive researched as much as I can. My mammo/us is on Monday so I will be happy to have it done. The waiting is honestly draining! Even if its bad news if i know then at least I can make a plan of attack!

The waiting is the worst, IMO. Don't worry too much about the time interval. Even if it is malignant, breast cancer is not particularly fast-growing. Five weeks is nothing in the BC world.

Hopefully, this is just a blip on the radar. Most lumps are NOT cancerous. Let us know how it goes.

mustlovepoodles - I kind of figured this wait was a normal time frame. I work in health care so I know these things take time. Im a very impatient person to begin with so this just amps up my anxiety haha!
