Recurrence

I were first diagnosed in 2007 and treated with a lumpectomy chemotherapy and radiation I then had a reacurrence in same breast in 2015 followed by a masectomy and more chemotherapy .I have just found out I have another recurrence in the same breast and are awaiting results from cat scans and pet scans. Are wondering if anyone else has had a second recurrence and what treatment followed

Sorry you have it again. They must not have gotten all of it with surgery. Maybe chemo is not the answer, is it by any chance hormone positive? I would also ask if you are a candidate for other newer drugs since you have had chemo twice. Hope your scans go well and they can finally zap it.

Doctor said its not complicated. But i am so terrified cant stop crying i am just 29 and got married 6 months ago. My first diagnosis was 4 years back stage 1 and no node involvement still i went through all chemotherapy radiotherapy and thn was on temoxfin. I dnt know what to do. My condition is miserable :(

I had a local recurrence after seven years because ??)maybe??? I did not do radiation. Since I was 65 at the time of my first local recurrence, radiation was optional so I opted out. I am not going to panic or lose any sleep over this. I just do my daily topical treatment of letrozole and get on with my life.

I would not be surprised if I get another late recurrence. If it does, I'll get another lumpectomy. I am of the opinion that aggressive treatment was/is exactly what I did not need to do. All that aggressive treatment allows non-aggressive cells to morph into something much more aggressive.
