Okkate, you took the words right out of my mouth! The PR neg is just one piece of a complicated puzzle. Like you said we make the best decision based on what we know. Meow, wow you certainly gave it a go for a year and a half. You can't be miserable with bone and eye pain either. I will be starting on anastrozole next month. Thank u for confirming the effectiveness with PR neg, I had read that somewhere too. I'll give it time and see what happens. I can't let my mind go to all the negative side effects that you hear or I would go crazy, I will deal when and if I get them. I thought I saw on a previous post you are several years out, sounds like you are doing well! That's great. I agree the neg PR contributed to our higher oncotype scores but we are perfect examples that there are many options to choose from when it comes to treatment. I'm kinda over all the decision making to be honest! Correct me if I'm wrong but only about 15% of breast cancers are ER + PR neg so we are a unique bunch.

Yes that is true so the statistics are from a smaller population. Er- and pr+ is an even smaller percentage.

I am ER+PR-Her2- I was premenopausal at first so did a few months of tamoxifen until I was determined to be menopausal then switched to letrozole. My oncologist said that getting on AI's as soon as possible important because tamoxifen not as effective to prevent recurrence on PRneg people but may help a little , so that is why he had me take it a few months waiting for menopause confirmation. I also had Paget's disease which is also very rare so lucky me!!😩 I'm almost 2 years on the 10 years of anti hormonal ( not that I'm counting ). I take it every night and hope it does it's job and keeps this cancer from coming back . I have side effects but have managed to do ok so far . 🙏🏼 My oncotype DX was 31
