Washington DC, and Montgomery County MD

I see there is a Northern VA group. I live in Silver Spring, and would like to connect closer to home, down or mid Montgomery County or NW, Washington, DC

There are a lot of great (healthful) restaurants in Takoma Park, Silver Spring. I'm vegan, so places like any Ethiopian, Indian or Chinese restaurant, Marc's Kitchen, Busboys and Poets,Chipotle, Qdoba all offer meat and vegan. As does Mezzah Mediterranean in Wheaton Mall. I'm sure there are great restaurants in DC, but I'm not as familiar with them. I'm still exploring restaurants. I'm new to being vegan, I'm doing it because of BC.

Silver Spring has 23 Ethiopian restaurants!

    Howdy! I also live in Silver Spring and LOVE Ethiopian! And you're right -- SS has a ton of Ethiopian restaurants! Not Vegan but I'd love to hear more about your reasons for going that route. I was just diagnosed a week ago so this is all new to me but I'm going against my own grain by proactively reaching out and seeking out a supportive community for this journey. Let me know if you'd like to meet up. ;-)
