Neulasta patch side effects with AC

Hi! I started AC on Wednesday and they put the patch on me. When it went off last night about 15 min into it my heart starting pounding. I felt like was going to get sick. Ran to the bathroom and laid on the floor. Sweating and nausas but never got sick. Still not feeling well I had to use the restroom. When I got up to flush i blacked out for a second. I have a call in to my nurse. Just wondering if this happened to anyone els

    We're so sorry to hear you've had this scary issue! We hope someone will be by shortly to weigh in with their experience. We're glad you've called your nurse -- hopefully they will have some insight so that you don't have to go through this again.

    Hope all goes well when talking to your nurse. FYI, you can request a shot in lieu of the patch - just need to get the timing right (was it 23 hours after chemo? 17? Can't remember now). If you're close to your doctor and don't mind making another trip there the next day, this may be a less stressful option. My hospital even had a closer satellite office so it was even more convenient for me. The shot is likely the same outrageous price. I hated the patch!

    I accidentally knocked the patch with my bra strap and some of the medicine leaked out when it went off. Since we weren't sure how much was actually injected, I got a follow up shot - and did experience the flushed and puffy face described in the packet - likely got too much medicine. It abated the next day but was a bit scary . That's how I found out you can get a regular shot instead!
