Prayers for Hope (farfalla)
In her thread "New Fears" she said
Quote:
This waiting for the full picture is cruel and unusual for any woman. I am so sorry that any/all of you feel/have felt as bereft, sad and surreal as I do right now. I can not believe how strong and powerful you all seem to me!!! Really! I need some of your bravery because the thought of more tests for more answers Is making me a wreck.
Tomorrow (Jan 31) she and her family are meeting with her oncologist and she will learn of her diagnosis and treatment plan.
Let us all pray tonight that her cancer is small, containable, and has not spread, and will be quickly cured, that her treatment is easy and doable, and that she is soon back in good spirits and on the road to recovery.

Thanks to Mizsissy for starting the prayer for Hope. I will be praying too! It is truly a grueling process to wait for diagnosis. I remember the sheer terror -- it is life changing. But, I also remember the wonderful people who prayed for me and cradled me in their love too. I pray that you ( Hope) will be surrounded by wonderful nurses, doctors, and friends and family to help you through this difficult time.
blessings,
Wendy -
Dear Lord, give Sweet {{{HOPE}}} the strength to overcome all that is in her life this day, give her doctors wisdom to know the right direction and the right medicine to help our Dear sister get through this journey in her life, so it can be done quickly and pain free. Show her doctors the way Dear Lord, Heal our sweet Hope. in your precious name i pray, Jesus. AMEN. Puppy

Hope, I too will be praying for you on Thursday. And just know that God listens to me, I've had it proved many times with many goosebump God moments happening since my dx. You will be able to feel the love and support and prayer that is going out to you from all of us. I'm praying that God will heal you, support you and hold you up. Hugs, Marsha

Heard from Hope today. All the tests are done, but there is no date set for the conference...she doesn't want info in bits and pieces. So we'll have to wait!!!
She told me she felt very calm and ready to cope, and that it must be our prayers working! -

Ladies,
Thank you so much for your prayers and good thoughts! I must have felt them! As I put one foot in front of the other (to take test, after test, after test) a calmness and acceptance came over me. No longer paniced...I feel like I can deal with the future. Especially with the help of all of you wonderful women here!
The best news of all is that the PET came out clear (except for the known cancer on my right breast. (Which I now know now is the opposite of my Moms cancer. I am her neg and hormone pos. My Mom is hormone neg and her pos. She just finished her year of Herceptin...she is doing GREAT at 75!!)
My surgery is on Monday February 26th.Because of my family history (Mom & Grandma) they are very concerned about the calcifications and fibrocystic changes in my left breast. I have decided that I wont be a slave to my breasts. So I will have a bilateral mast. I may have recon in the future but right now I just want to deal with one thing at a time.
I have to tell you ladies, my doctor found the lump. The reason I went to the doctor to begin with is that I wanted a check- up prior to my grant sponsored professional development tour of the Monarch Butterfly sanctuary region of Mexico. We will be visiting the local schools and the butterfly over wintering sites the week before my surgery. I am so excited that I can still go!!!
When I am in the forest and I see the branches filled with the millions of butterflies that have made such an unbelievably long and dangerous migratory trip... I will think of all of us. Huddled together for comfort... seemingly fragile at times.... but remarkably strong and beautiful!!!!!
Much love,
Hope -

we are with you in spirit Hope
praying for you and your mom
so glad your PET Scan was clear
we are here to see you through
