Nervous. Appt with MO tomorrow to discuss test results
So I have an appointment with my MO tomorrow morning.
She scheduled it. Its to followup on my abdomen ultrasound results and chest xray. I honestly thought after I had my tests a week ago, the office would call and say all clear. But they have not called. Instead I am to go in and see them. So I am getting nervous now. When I had my brain MRI a few weeks ago, they did call a few days later and told me it was clear. So maybe I am overthinking it, not sure.
I have been off the Arimidex now for two weeks as suggested by my MO to see if my SE went away. This is what prompted all the tests too considering I was getting headaches and vertigo and nausea. The headaches are better and the vertigo is too. And the nausea comes and goes. I still have headaches and vertigo just not as bad.
I am nervous. I sure hope they just want to change my meds or something.
Wish me luck.

Absolutely wallan sending you support and peace - where the mind goes I know is hard. Too bad our minds don't get stuck and lost thinking about tropical islands with turquoise clear waters and gentle breezes plus warm sunshine. I am hoping your headaches and vertigo continue to get better too!!!

Hi Wallen,
Wishing all the best on tomorrow. I was recently diagnosed with a recurrence and had my first visit with my BS today. She was was very thorough which put me at ease. My cancer is an intermediate grade slow growing cancer. I am going to have a bilateral mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. Get this..my BS’s sister has BC and she is getting ready to perform surgery on her sister on May 30. What a coincidence! I am told that the plastic surgeon does beautiful work and he, too, will be working on my BS’s sister. I do feel better but I am nervous about the upcoming PET SCAN. Sounds scary! Nervous about what’s they will find abs Ive never had one. It was not part of the plan during my first BC..I guess because it’s was micro invasive.
Hang in there and let us know how things turn out..Hugs

I am the kind of person the reads into everything...the expressions on the faces of nurses/receptionist. why not a call, why do I need to see them, how long has it taken to see them. get called, do their voices sound sad, etc. so I know where you are coming from. However, she may want to discuss many things with you not just the ultrasound, perhaps a change of medications etc. In Canada, never had a diagnosis over the phone. ALWAYS a visit with the doctor as follow up. Hoping you receive good news!!! (((HUGS))))

Doctor protocol is different depending on the rules of that office. My doctor told me I had cancer over the phone. I didn't think that was something normally done. My oncologist makes me come in for any tests results. Go figure? Anyway, hoping all is well and coming in to discuss results is just protocol.

Wallan,
Holding you in the light.
Why do I think it was you who posted this many months ago? I saved it bc it resonated with me.

Thanks Ladies.
Falconer, I saw your post and laughed right out loud. I did post that. I am now smiling so thank you so much for that.
I will let you know how it goes.

Thinking of you today, Wallan.

Hey ladies:
Well, halleluja! it was all clear. Even my longstanding lung nodules and adrenal gland adenoma - gone. Gone! And, me having to go in and see in person was an administrator screw up. So, panic averted. I need to apply the Golden Rules of Coping with Panic.
So symptoms likely SE from the Arimidex. They told me to try brand name Arimidex not generic. And they said if in two weeks my symptoms are back, we will discuss another AI.
So, I was relieved when I left there.
I have a new appointment on May 3. Genetic test is back. That will be interesting...
Thanks ladies! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Here in Canada, it was sunny and spring is springing!
