Feel like Alice and I am falling thru the rabbit hole.
Just spent 2 hours with the surgeon oncologist. She went over everything in great detail. I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Grade 3 Triple negative .. That what we know for sure. Our course of treatment as of right now will be chemo 4-6 weeks, then surgery depending on the Brca testing and the MRI what surgery to be determine. and then radiation for 4-6 weeks. This week I will get a breast MRI, Ct scan, Bone scan, Echocardiogram, EKG, Brca testing Chemo class, Nutritionist and have a port put in place, She stated we should have a ideal about the stage after the MRI are complete. I am still have a million questions but feel I am in good hands, Is there anything I should be asking about? What should I be doing to prepare for the chemo?

Hi llupp,
We are so sorry to hear of your diagnosis -- we know it can all be so overwhelming at first, but the more you learn about your diagnosis, the better you'll feel about planning your treatment and focusing on recovery.
A good place to start for some things you should ask your doctor about is the Your Diagnosis: Questions to Ask Your Doctor page from the main Breastcancer.org site.
And to prepare for chemo, there's an incredible thread here called More Tips (and a Shopping List) for Getting Through Chemo with tons of great practical info.
We hope this helps you get started to prepare for your treatment journey, while you wait for others to chime in here. Please keep us posted with how you're doing and we look forward to supporting you along the way!

llup- You and I share a very similar story. I was diagnosed last week IDC, Grade 3 , Triple neg, left breast 1 cm mass. So so sorry you are here. One cannot really comprehend what this is like until they are there. The last 7 days has been a whirlwind on many levels. All I can say is allow yourself to do and feel what you need to. I was totally in shock and almost in denial at first. My family was shocked that I kind of went on like I hadn't been given the news, but I had to take that perspective for a few days. In order to not totally break down and freak the heck out. There's stages of emotion that come with this and I'm sure will continue to come. Stay strong! So many woman have endured and conquered this beast!
Do you know the size of your tumor? My onc is ordering BRCA, PET Scan and a few other genetic tests since I am 39 years old. However it is looking like a lumpectomy as soon as possible, followed by 12 weeks of IV chemo and 6 weeks of radiation. If any of my genetic testing comes back positive then I will consider mastectomy. For now I 'm just going to get little sucker out of my body.

So sorry you find yourself here but you will get lots of support and advice. I would suggest joining one of the monthly chemo threads for those who are also going through chemo with you. I found my group to be a great support and we shared lots of ideas and tips. Once you have the full picture and plan, you will feel much better. Don't hesitate to ask for some anxiety meds if you need them, I was a mess at first and they really helped me.

So sorry you have to join us here but I've have found so much strength, encouragement, good advice and camaraderie on these boards, I don't know if I could have gotten through till now without that.
Welcome! I echo finding a chemo group (the post above), and try to leave Dr. Google alone in the early stages of all this--he's notoriously unreliable and downright wrong at times. If you post a question at one of the discussion links here, depending on topic, you'll get better advice or at least a reliable place to find trustworthy information.
Hugs!

llup and forever faith - So sorry you find yourselves here. I would definitely say that the beginning of the journey was the hardest for me. Once I got into treatment, I went into fight mode. Sounds like you both have teams in place so you're heading the right direction. As a fellow triple negative sister, I highly recommend checking out the "Calling all TNs" thread. It's a great group of supportive women in various stages of their own battles, as well as many long term survivors. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and take it one day at a time. And ask any questions that come into your minds. You can do this!
Hugs,
Kathy
