Please feel free to share with the rest of us how you feel a decade or more after your discovery of breast cancer. If you've had surgery/radiation/meds to suppress a recurrence please detail all that as we'd all love to be inspired by your success story and hopefully you feel like you've won the battle!

    Hi,

I was diagnosed in June 2007 with grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma with spread to lymph nodes and HER2+

I had 6 lots of chemo - FEC & Taxotere, plus a year of Herceptin, a mastectomy and radiotherapy.

I had a preventative mastectomy 2 years later with reconstruction and then 2 years after that had reconstruction of the affected side.

That all happened over 10 years ago.

I feel that the support for people now is better due to all the amazing groups on Facebook that have sprung up.

I did find the discussions here good as well but not so intimate.
