Waiting for core biopsy
Felt a lump and went to gyn. She sent me for mammogram. Mammogram revealed that I needed an ultrasound. The radiologist told me that I have a 2 centimeter mass that’s shaped like a bow tie and that one side is fluid filled and the other side is solid, and ordered a biopsy. I also have dense breast. I really didn’t ask any questions, wished I did! Now I’m freakin for out waiting for this biopsy appointment next week.

me too! A week from today on both breasts. This is my second time needed the core biopsy. My last mammo required one too. Waiting is far worse than the actual tests. Hang inthere

I just want to lend my support to both of you! The waiting is super awful. Try to remember that 80% of women you have breast biopsies do NOT have cancer. That's pretty good odds you'll be A-OK.

Thanks for that.

Hopefully its nothing more than one of the many types of cysts. I had one that was a mix of fluid and solid debris. Hang in there

waiting is so much worse than the tests, try to distract yourself/think about other things/enjoy life is my advice i was able to do that for about 1/2 of the days i had to / have to wait

I’m waiting on my biopsy report from my mass and I’m a mess ....I’m totally stressed and I wonder why when I was a single in charge mom ...I hate how I feel I feel I need to go and get drunk but I don’t drunk
-
praying for a good report. I have four more days before I even get to do my biopsy. The waiting is awful
-
oh I understand it just rocks your world ... it’s like your lost and saying say busy take your mind off it doesn’t help
-
The waiting is just terrible.
-
Good luck. Thinking of you.

Hi all. I’m new here but I can totally relate. I found a lump in my left breast last weekend so I went to my dr on Monday who scheduled a mammogram and ultrasound for this morning. Well the radiologist came in and said we need a biopsy so it is scheduled for next Wednesday morning. That seems like an eternity to me especially after talking to my dr this afternoon. She called to check on me because she had gotten the report already. She told me they found s 2cm irregular mass. I asked her how likely it is that it is cancer and she said unfortunately thee is a high probability that it is. Then I received a call from a Breadt Specialist that my dr ask already referred me to. The lady from there told me the code given by the radiologist indicates a high probability. Nervous is an understatement!

Hi, I can understand how you feel. Hoping and praying for you that get the news you want. This group is very supportive.

My mammo was unchanged but u/s had showed something new (I have a cyst that was diagnosed as benign last year but felt it had changed hence the recent mammo and u/s). I had a breast mri w/ contrast on Wednesday and received a call that afternoon that what they saw was very suspicious and I would need a core biopsy. That is scheduled for Tuesday. I have saline breast implants so im just hoping that this will not interfere with the biopsy. Nervous but just would like to know.

I am in the same boat. I found a lump a few weeks ago, mammogram, ultrasound and core needle biopsy all in one day! I didn't ask the first dr enough questions and just sat there crying but I did ask questions with the dr that did the biopsy but I remember nothing!
