Mammogram tomorrow - another lump or lymph node?

I found a lump while doing my SBE in the shower last Wednesday. And I may be wrong. It may be a swollen gland/duct (directly above my left nipple).

I did post about it asking about IBC which I can see it does not resemble at all.

Also soreness and some swelling around the armpit. There is tiny bump which feels like a small pebble. About three fingers down for my collarbone. I’m assuming this is a swollen lymph node?

Just try to hang on until your mammogram tomorrow. I wouldn't be trying to guess what it is until then. I don't think of lymph nodes as feeling like tiny pebbles.

I guess I thought a diagnostic mammogram was more than 2 views of each breast. But the technician said the Dr said he did not need anymore. The tech felt the pebble like lump.

It was not visible on the mammogram. The ultrasound technician barely grazed the area and did not examine the rest of the breast.

The doctor came in and said "Well, it's not visible on the mammogram or the ultrasound. It could be breast tissue. Of course if it gets bigger, call your doctor."

When I asked the Dr about the sore and swollen lymph nodes around the armpit area, he said, "Well, have you been messing with it?"

No, I don't think I have cancer. But I have not been 'messing' with my breast enough to make it sore - it was very tender the day I did my SBE.

Also, "The fact that you're having any pain at all makes me less concerned."

I guess I will just wait and see how things look/feel at my yearly dr appt with my family dr on May 4.

Very frustrating. That's similar to what happened to me as well. It would have been nice if something had shown up, at least. Hopefully it's nothing, for both of us!
