Zometa- jaw necrosis and how long?

Hey, I'm just wondering if anyone has had jaw necrosis from Zometa and what is the half life once administered intravenously?

I've been on it for 2.5 years now (6 monthly infusion). Last time I had it was on Friday and I've had a heavy jaw feeling ever since..dont know if I'm being paranoid or it's something more sinster. I'm supposed to be on arimidex for 10 years, but can't see myself being on Zometa that long aswell.

    Sophiemara - I have had 2 Zometa infusions and am scheduled for 4 more over the next 2 years. I also take Aromasin and hope to for 5 years. No jaw necrosis though...

    I just had my several teeth extracted by an Oral Surgeon ( Texas) & had dental implants with no problem. I was told by a dentist and an oral surgeon (new so did not have all the equipment) that jaw necrosis is a lifetime possibility for someone who had Zometa IV
