Biopsy Monday - arm & underneath itching worried
Hello Ladies. I am worried of course as I’m having a biopsy Monday on a nodule with somewhat irregular margins, Suspicious Bi-Rads Category 4. My dr told me chances of b-9 are 80% but I've read that the irregular margins bring a much higher chance of malignancy:(
For about a year I’ve been experiencing extreme itching on and off under my arm on the side where the Lump is. Now I’m stressed more (Because I’ve read itching could mean c) and that if the lump is indeed c does the itching mean it’s spread to nodes under the arm:(. Has anyone had similar itching under arm prior to bc diagnosis where cancer had not spread to nodes? Probably getting way ahead of myself but have other health issues. thank you.

I read your post and I can tell you I also had extreme itching in my armpit for a few months. I figured it my deoderant. Now the itching isn't as bad. Comes and goes. 3 weeks ago I felt a lump in my breast. Had mammogram done ultra sound and they said lymph node in armpit looked suspicious. Arm started swelling also. Finally I'm putting it together. Had biopsy yesterday. I'm scared to hear results on Monday. I live alone and am a nurse and have to work. I'm 64 but still this is scarey. I can believe how many young woman is faced with this. How did ur biopsy turn out

Just returned from my biopsy. Thankful that it was a complex cluster of small cysts. Radiologist aspirated it with a fine needle & all fluid came out at once perfectly clear. Follow up mammo was clear. I guess the cluster made it have the appearance of an irregular nodule & it also looked more cystic prior to aspiration than the original report & pics. Very fortunate. Think itching is probably dry skin. Had it checked out by my breast doctor last year. He said lymph nodes and underarms were normal. Still, since nodule (complex cyst-yay) was just diagnosed I began to think nodule and itching were related. I’m postmenopausal, not on HRT, but still have some very bizarre cysts coming and going. Keeping all in my prsyers
