I am scheduled for a double mastectomy on Wednesday and it feels like I am coming down with a minor cold. Should I postpone my surgery; which is in 2 days

I would call your surgeon to consult with them - even though it's the weekend. It may not matter for a simple cold, but you should get their take on it.

I had symptoms of a UTI days before my surgery (also on a weekend). My PS advised me to go to urgent care because he could not operate with an active infection going on. I was put on antibiotics and the surgery proceeded as planned.

I'm not sure about a cold. If there's no fever or respiratory issues, it might be okay.

be sure to clear with your surgeon use of any OTC cold remedies and/or supplements before taking them. Surgery is in 2 days but some of those medications/supplements can hang around longer and cause issues during surgery.

I came down with bronchitis 3 days before. I canceled, rescheduled a month later. Gave me plenty of time to stop coughing.

I had also felt a cold coming on a few days before my surgery. I called my surgeons office. She told me to take tylenol etc, and she would still be doing surgery if a cold came out unless I had difficulty breathing/coughing. I wound up being able to head off the cold by taking sambucol and surgery went on as scheuled.
