Heart issues 1yr post lumpectomy, chemo, rads, herceptin.

My mum is exactly one year out from her tx and has been having chest tightness, palpitations, increased heart rate, and pain in her ribs/spine/back. She had an MRI yesterday on her spine and we will get results within a few days, but I wonder how much of this is related to the radiation (left breast) and Herceptin - both of which are known to affect the heart.

Any thoughts or experience here?

    know this was posted in feb. Just saw this, hope your mom is ok. Yes , I have been having some of the same issues, after being almost a year lut, no radiation but chemo and surgery, have some thickening of the muscle wall on left side of heart going to see the oncologist on tues and defiantly going to ask him, it's pretty scary to go thru this

    I had a heart attack during chemo and permanent heart damage during Herceptin.

    My sister had heart issues after chemo - heart racing - palpitations

    We are both on heart meds and doing well.

    I am 6 years out from Radiation and still have pain in my ribs.

    Hope your mom has gotten to the bottom of what her issues are. My best wishes!
