IDC - Grade 3 Ki-67=92% 1.7 cm triple negative
More questions than I know to ask.
What is typical recommended treatment for triple negative, high grade, way high Ki-67?
Unsure of lymph node involvement, tenderness at edge of armpit near breast...

Hmm, your doctors will probably recommend chemo, either before or after surgery. Often, it's before surgery so your doctors know whether or not your chemo worked for your particular cancer. You probably will have a choice between a lumpectomy or mastectomy. With a lumpectomy, radiation would be recommended. Your doctors might also recommend radiation with mastectomy, but some breast cancer patients who choose mastectomies can forgo radiation. Good luck!

I was also tnbc. I know how scary this is at the beginning. My treatment consisted of chemo first. 4 rounds of AC then 12 rounds of taxol. Everyone is different but for me chemo was very doable. My tumor responded very well to the chemo. Then I had surgery. I chose to do a double mastectomy. You will feel better after you talk to your BS. Be sure to check out the triple negative section on here. Good luck to you. I am so sorry you have to go through this but you will do great!

Charmell - I was diagnosed as triple neg by biopsy. Chemo first DoxilTaxol, lumpectomy then rads. Path report after surgery showed ER positive (squeaked by at 15%). When I asked my MO why the biopsy didn't show ER receptors she explained that sometimes the area removed at biopsy didn't tell the whole story. I think that until the surgical pathology is done they don't always have the complete picture. Also had the armpit pain, no lymph node involvement thankfully. Sending you supportive vibes during this confusing anxiety ridden time....you can do this!Hang in there and keep us posted on your progress!

I’ve found it *very* helpful on this forum to poke around various threads that are interesting to me for whatever reason and then look at individuals’ profiles. You get a real sense based on what’s shared of what people with a dx similar to yours have had as treatment. I know you don’t have your exact dx yet but you might take a look at the triple negative threads and see what kind of treatment people have had. Hang in there. .
