3 biopsies at the same time?

Has anyone ever had multiple biopsies done of one breast at the same time? I had a 3D mammogram today followed by an US. Next week that have me coming back in for 3 biopsies of different areas. I'm going to feel like a pin cushion.

One is a stereostatic of a cluster of calcifications on the medial side of my right breast.

Another is an ultrasound guided of one of two twin complex cysts also in my right breast, but near my armpit.

The last is another ultrasound guided in a mass in my right breast that is dead center.

I'm 40yo, and this isn't my first mammogram, but this is the first time I've had breast biopsies. My mom, aunt, grandmother, and great aunt have all had BC so I'm wondering if my doctor is being extra cautious? I didn't know to ask about BI-RAD. I'm negative for BRCA1 and BRCA2, but so is my mom.

I'm going back and forth between totally freaking out and thinking it's probably nothing. I feel like a roller coaster.

To me the ultrasound ones are really easy & no big deal at all and I don't remember being particularly sore (or bruised) from them, plus they are quick. I had stereotactic + ultrasound biopsy of one other spot. Once you are there you might as well get it over with.

    Hi Leigh:

Yes, I had two stereos and one ultrasound in same breast in August. It went by quickly, and agree with Melissa that the ultrasound was easy. Stereos were not bad in my caseat all - during or after. Best wishes for good results xx Belle
