Hi everyone.

I'm 34 years old and for the past 3 months I have been having sharp breast & nipple pain, under arm pain and the pain is now in my back, across my shoulder blades. I am booked in for mamo and ultrasound next week. My GP couldn't find any lumps ect when she examined me but I'm extremely concerned. Has anybody else had similar symptoms? The pain seems to be in both breasts but more noticeable in my left breast. There's an aching sensation there constantly.

    Hi

I have a firm round lump on my left breast, it didn't hurt when went to walk in centre but my armpit hurt abit when doctor pressed lymph nodes, the doctor said I needed to see my gp for urgent referral to breast clinic and said what things it could be, including breast cancer though unlikely due to my age (nearly28), so I went to my own doctors and saw a locum Gp (not my usual gp), she straight away dismissed me because of my age, she examined me and said the whole breast is inflamed and it's because of hormones and I'm ovulating (I don't think I am), and didn't want to refer me to breast clinic as she said strongly it's not BC. To me and fiancé there is an obvious lump and it doesn't feel inflamed the rest of it, but since seeing the hospital doctor it has started to hurt/ become sore, and my armpit hurts more. She made me feel silly and wanted me to wait until my next period (could be 2-3 weeks as I'm irregular) and she thought it would disappear.. but I pushed for the referral because the hospital doctor really thought I needed the referral and I couldn't just sit on it until then to find it's still there. So she made a note to do the referral as she couldn't find the right form in the appt, she ignored the 'suspected cancer' one that the hospital doctor said it be, she said she didn't want to bombard them with an unnecessary referral as they get swamped, and to promise her not to go to the appt if it disappears, the referral only got sent off today.

It's definitely a constant burning and stinging sensation now like it's raw, but it's not red at all but lump is close to skin.

Dear concerned. No matter what it needs to be checked out. I found a lump in mine. Had biopsy of tumor and axillary lymph node. Waiting for results any day now
