Hello ladies, I really really need your input and I admit consulting Dr. google was a huge mistake.

History- had sharp pain in breast 6 months after i had my first child, when I was 25yrs old, breast clinic found a mass recommended waiting 6 months because it looked like fibroadenoma on ultrasound. Went back in 3 months because of anxiety and the fibro was grown up. They did biopsy and it came up as fibroadenoma. Two of my maternal aunts were diagnosed and treated for BC. My mother is in process of testing, her biopsy is benign but breast has always been weird like with random cysts and painful.

Present- I just had another baby 8 months ago. I am 28 yrs now, the fibro pain stopped during my second pregnancy but it is back 2 months ago. I breast fed/pump/hand expressed for 3 months, baby had a tongue tie so couldn't do much. So, about a week back I found a small dimple/dent on my same breast with fibro but it is at a different location. The spot showing dimple is the same where they entered the biopsy needle. Biopsy was done by lateral approach, 13 guage needle was entered from the side. I am not sure if they dimple was there before or not. I have an appointment with breast clinic in 2 days but any input would be appreciated.

Also, the dent/dimple disappears when i raise my arms or bend down.

There is no place on the internet where it will say "don't worry it's benign" so save yourself the anxiety and stop Googling.

Let us know what the ultrasound shows.

Thank you for getting back. I see that you are a radiologist. Have you ever seen a round dent or dimple caused by core needle biopsy or any other reason apart from cancer?

I have seen it once after a stereotactic biopsy performed by a partner years ago. The target was very superficial and some of the adjacent skin was sheared off by the biopsy device. When it healed there was a tiny divot in that spot. I have never seen an indentation at the location of a image guided biopsy for a target deep in the breast where the skin was not excessively traumatized.

There a many stories on here of dents and indentations that turned out not to be cancer but I am not sure the causes were ever stated after those posts were made.

Thank you! Well I hope it is something like that. My biopsy was quite deep almost near the chest wall. I have US tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Just got back from the appointment and thought about updating in case anyone else is experiencing the same. The ultrasound tech, radiologist and the breast specialist i guess the surgeon couldn't find anything under the dent. She should me the images and these was just fat and muscles. She said the dimple seems superficial and it not puckered deep so might be just some of those changes that have no answer. They did find another mass in the right breast which they believe is fibroadenoma and is very similar to the one I have on my left side. So, they just want me to come back in 6 months for follow up on the new mass which they believe is fibroadenoma.
