Micmel, Tomorrow? Seriously? When they did the surgery did they also insert Wonder Woman powers into your body? Make sure you don't overdo things, little lady! (Spoken like a true mother, don't you think?)
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne
-
Great picture MJH. Nothing like a girlie get together.
Micmel, glad you are back in the fold. Thinking of you.
I am enjoying a visit this week of my Mum from Ireland. Getting some sun in Spain. She's 89 years young and an inspiration to me to get up and get going. Makes me feel much better. Will get a nice picture while she's here to share with you all. Spring has arrived, almost time to get into shorts, a little tan on those legs
-
micmel it's great to hear how happy you are! Take time to rest and heal. It sounds like everyone had a happy Easter 🐰 I had a good Easter a little exhausting though.
-
Micmel! So great to see you posting! Hope you rested well last night! Will keep up the prayers for a while. Hugs!!

Good morning ladies~. It's ok I know how very annoying it is to be saying it's snowing 🌨 again!! We have already gotten at least four. I am supposed to go home today. Part of me is thrilled because I am doing so well. Problems seem to arise the second you leave the hospital, i worry about being around the dogs too early and having one of them jump up on me.
This Foley thing they put in as a catheter was only in like one day. Well, talk about irritating and annoyance. That's worse than how my breast has felt. going back to the bathroom regularly like before the surgery now it’s horrible , like like taking a class final exam. So many wires and things
You know what to do, but you freeze. Now I don't know anyone else who forgets how to go to the bathroom. I exhibit the worst stage fright you can imagine. Why they want to stand with you, emptying tubes and etc... it's like hey lady. I'm trying have some privacy to use the bathroom please ? So awkward. I am just sooo glad it's behind me. Now If only the snow woukd take a hike. ❄️ sucks ~M~

Micmel I hope you’re home warm comfortable and healing

Micmel, So glad you have gotten through this and will be home!! I’m with you on the snow...ugh! Take care of yourself :
-
Micmel - popping in to say how great it is to hear your “voice” and know you still have your great sense of humor despite your pain. Praying for a smooth recovery once you leave the hospital. So many here are thinking of you, as you continue to touch so many of us.
💕 Southern
PS. Agree that the snow needs to go away! Ugh - doesn’t Mother Nature know we are in April now!
-
Micmel, sounds like you are doing great!!! You are a strong tough lady to go through that many hours of surgery and be doing so well! I so admire your strength!
Hope you get home soon, home always makes us feel better. -
micmel, hooray for the cleavage!
Do not push it, youglady. We all know you are tough!
Will you have someone with you at home? Can your doggies go and stay with your grand doggie 🐶 for a few days?
My friend cut a hole in a box for her legs to protect her upper body from cats when recovering from surgery. Can your hubby rig something up?
So excited for you!
-
bigbhome, thanks for the recipe, I may try it later this week.
Micmel, happy to hear you’re feeling better even if a bit annoyed.
I enjoyed all the Easter pics even though I don’t celebrate it. For me, it was a relaxing, lazy Sunday. There’s a church across the street and I don’t dare leave the neighborhood on big church holidays, the traffic is too crazy.
My mom tried to take me to an Easter egg hunt once but exited on a fwy on-ramp, got pulled over by a cop and spent over an hour explaining that she didn’t understand the fwy because she’s from upstate NY, by the time we got to the park, everyone was long gone. She never tried again.
I just buy myself a bag of jellybeans whenever I want these days.
-
MicMel, congratulations! You did it and now it's over. The first few days after surgery are the worst and. Soon you'll be ok. Get well fast!,,
Gentle hugs. Elen
-
Just popping in to say Hi, Micmel, and well done! So glad to hear how well you're doing, but I echo others who have said don't do too much. Gentle hugs.
-
Micmel I was working away in my sewing room and thinking to myself, I wonder how that Micmel is doing? Hope you get home soon to sleep in your own bed and recover at your leisure and pee without an audience. Rest, drink plenty of fluids, show your new cleavage to EVERYONE, even if they don't want to see it. Too bad for them, you laid on a table for 12 hours to get that new va-va-voom so LOOK, damnit! Hugz!

Micmel-hope that you are resting easy! Missing you here for sure!
50'sGirl-To answer your questions: Three of my gal pals have these birthdays; March28, April2, and April3! We have worked together/known each other for over 20 years. We have a "vacation club" that we direct deposit money into each pay period for girls trips. We have been all over. Next trip is Nashville! I did make the bunny cake; I have been an avid baker/cook since the age of twelve. Baking limited now due to the diabetes. I'm thinking that you are facing lots of appointments/scans this week and I hope all goes smoothly with the best results.Still interested in driving over to have lunch with you and Lynne(Man) sometime.
Mae-not sure about your schedule for treatment; hopefully soon to get it behind you. and I think having jelly beans whenever you want them is PERFECT!
Lynne(MAN)-I hope you feel MAHVELOUS during your month off from the flipping chemo! Not sure when you head for Disney; but ENJOY!!! Hoping to arrange a lunch date with you and Lynne sometime!
To all my other dear MBC sisters, wishing you a peaceful, comfortable day! Love, MJH
-
popping into say hello and I have a boob! Have a nice day! Love you ladies. ~M~. Some wicked pain. Wicked wicked monkey!!! As Mrs doubtfire would say.
-
Hi Micmel, I hope you have TWO boobs now, not just "a boob". I hope that pain gets under control and goes away soon. In the meantime, get some rest and follow your doctor's orders.
Hugs and prayers from, Lynne
-
lolol good point Lynne (50,s)~ correction added two Boobs. Yes I just looked. Good call lol,see what medicines do to us? Thanks darling. I am back off to bed. Much love ~M~
-
Micmel having two boobs is great! Can't wait for you to be able to get out and about and show them off:)
-
Glad you are doing well Micmel. Enjoy having 2 boobs,
I am actually feeling a bit normal for first time in a long time, afraid to say it out loud and jinx it.
-
hi guys! I am still around and heavily medicated. I have three drains that I really hate. But I'm just taking it one day at time , one drain at a time. My hound dog was howling the entire time for his mamma. Now he lays with me on my bed every chance he gets. And yes I am happy about the two boob confguration! Can't say the surgery wasn't really painful because oh boy is it ever. But I am still glad i did it. I just will be glad when I am healed completely!!! Keetmom. so glad you're feeling good! Makes me smile! Much love ~M~
-
Here is a lovely photo of my four blown veins. Sometimes they hurt so damn bad. There aren't words. Ugh pain! It's amazing what the human body can take!! Back to medicine and nappyland! Have a pain free day! If you can. ~M~
-
That pic speaks a thousand words. Ouch. I'm praying for the drains to do their job but do it fast.if i remember correctly the amount has to decrease to a certain level before they can be taken out. When do you go back to see doc?
It's only been a few days and you are already happy to have a two boobs. Even though you are in pain. I think that is a good attitude. It will only get better from here. By the wedding you will look and feel normal. All pain from this surgery will be gone. Just history.💞
