    Welcome, Pherenn:

This is a later reply as I just read your post today.

I had TCHP for Stage IIB agressive Her2+ BC. This trreatment was very well tolerated and controlled with

Zofran for nausea and basically Immodium. I led a normal life during treatment, got a great wig which looked like

my natural hair too! I led my life to the fullest and still worked out at the gym during treament. I am still on Herceptin until May but

have absolutely no side effects from the infusions! It's great and wish I could be on it forever! I had chemotherapy prior to my double masectomy

and when the breast surgeon performed surgery, she said it all looked clean. The pathology report confirmed. NED! Praise God! Then, I went

through 25 treatments of Radiation Therapy for chest wall and lymph nodes. I had reconstructive surgery with implants. Really, I feel blessed that the chemotherapy and Herceptin/Perjeta did the job. The clean pathology report proved it all! I was scared for chemotherapy but like I said, I tolerated it well! So, please let your wife know that if she got through chemo. before, then this may just be a cake walk for her this time around.

Best of luck and sending positive vibes!!!

pherren- lilyduff was right. I just finished Round 2 of TCHP for Her2 +. So far I have tolerated it very well. I work full time, run/walk 3 1/2 miles almost daily and go out with friends. Starting Monday, I will wear a wig to work and be bald at home. So far so good. There are so many wonderful individuals on this site who generously share their experiences to help prepare the rest of us for our journey. I was terrified if chemo and a wonderful person on this thread walked me through the whole process. It is doable. Reassure your wife there is hope and light.

Fantastic! Good for her and good for you for being so supportive! She'll do just fine. I suspect this time around will be much easier on her. Just keep up with the anti-nausea and Immodium pills on a regular schedule. Also, I found a cycle- Days 3-7 is when the side effects hit me so I just took Zofran and Immodium on a regular schedule just in case to ward them off. Worked for me and I even went out one night while my brother was visiting to a bar and had a beer during that time. ha.ha. Best of luck to your wife!!!!

    Here's to health and healing!!!!

Im with Lilyduff, getting ready for round 3 on Friday with tchp and I've had very few side effects. I've worked full-time plus I Run 3 miles every day. Please do not get me wrong fatigue is an issue and it can be debilitating . During the past six weeks I have experienced three bad days. Chemo is not fun but it is doable. Best of luck to you.

Thanks for all the ideas, support, etc. Wife just finished #2 chemo: It was bad the last 30 min or so; burning and pain "in her bones." The doc upped her "sleepy" meds and off she went until it was completed. We left and she was on her own two feet this time (last time, we left in a wheelchair as she was dizzy). Hopefully, she'll stick with it. :)
