Hey there,

Long story short, I had my yearly exam at which time my Dr. found a lump. I was sent for mammogram and ultrasound two days later. Nothing unusual about my mammogram but upon ultrasound a 9mm x 6 mm x 4 mm lesion was found, the same lump my Dr found. I was brought into a room and told I needed to have a biopsy on this lump. My biopsy is scheduled for Thursday. I was told this lesion is partially solid / partially cystic ,with irregular borders, has it's own internal vascularity. What does all this mean? I've had burning in this area for about 6 months, maybe more, but no other symptoms other than being unusually tiered all of the time. Does anyone have an light to shed on all of this confusion?

    Hi Hannah,

Have you posted your findings on member Djmammo’s ‘interpreting your report’ thread? If not I’m sure he will be able to give you some insight into your findings thus far. He is a board certified radiologist who tirelessly helps the members here get a handle on the medical terms. Here is the link to the thread if you’d like to post to him:

If you prefer not to post you could call your PCP and ask for an explanation. I hope you get the answers you are looking for.

This is an awesome community whose members are so very supportive and very helpful during this stressful time, so please make use of the site. I’m hoping your results are good, and keep us posted on your progress please!
