Still Waiting for Phone to Ring

I've been waiting for over a week to schedule a core needle biopsy. Waiting for the phone to ring. It's making me so anxious. I want someone to tell me what the chances are that it is benign, but no one answers when I call. So, maybe you can all give an opinion. What are the chances that a taller than wide, hypoechoic mass with non-delineated borders is benign? Am I crazy for worrying or is it justified?

Why is it waiting so long to schedule? Hoping they get you in soon. Waiting is hard.

20% of biopsied masses end up malignant.

Although not the complete report, those three features above are all worrisome and convey a level of concern that this mass is malignant.

Worrying is never justified, it only hurts you. Keeping on them to schedule your biopsy is justified and will get you closer to a diagnosis.

Lorick - Pick up the phone and call to ask about the appt. Sometimes things fall through the cracks. Being proactive is hard when going through what you are going through but waiting is worse. Just my two cents.

Thank you all for your honest opinions. They finally called and I am scheduled for biopsy two days from now. The radiologist said he isn’t overly concerned, whatever that means. I’ll get more details when I go for the biopsy. Having it scheduled makes me feel much lighter. I can handle having a plan, much better than waiting and not knowing anything. So grateful that you are all here (so sorry for the reason). Thank you
