Peregrinelady, I haven't decided yet about the tamoxifen. I see my doctor toward the end of April, so I will go over things with her again. She told me last time, if it were her, she would stop the tamoxifen, yet she wouldn't have ordered the BCI for me until I mentioned that my legs were starting to bother me. I think her thoughts were if you are tolerating the tamoxifen well, then why stop? But now that I have the results, she says, why continue? I didn't notice on the test results what my risk was with continued tamoxifen and what it is without. I'll have to ask her about that. Lala, I'm so glad you are doing well off of tamoxifen and having no joint pain. I want my index score explained in more detail to me too.

Sorry it took so long to write you back.

Thanks. I try not to think about it and I don't log on very often because it gives me anxiety sometimes! Wishing you a Happy Easter!

Hi Jamie. I think it was 3.2 or 3.4% I have to find the sheet. The doctor said she would stop and said it was up to me to continue but she wouldn't go longer than 7 years. I've been taking it still because I feel like it is my safety net, but I'm not sure. There doesn't seem to be a lot of information I can find on the index test other than from the manufacturer and everything I read still says 10 years is better than 5. What was your score and what did your doctor advise?
