HI! Like others in this forum I am spending a long weekend and mostly likely next week waiting for answers. This is not my first time playing the waiting game. I had an excisional biopsy in 2012 that was benign for a very large palpable lump. I am high risk due to my sister having breast cancer at a young age. I went in for my yearly MRI on Friday and they found a mass on my L breast and recommended US and biopsy. BIRADS 4. I just had a mammo 6 months ago and all was well so this is of course unexpected and concerning. I know now to never schedule MRI's on Fridays! They couldn't get me in for the US that day so I go back on Monday for US and biopsy guided by either US or MRI. I love my breast care center and I know they will take good care of me. I just hope that the pathology comes back quickly so I don't have another week of waiting. I just feel overwhelmed between this and the rest of the craziness in my life right now!

    Definitely hear you on the waiting - it's the pits, as my mom would say. Fingers crossed for benign results real soon.

    Hi 3Gmommy,

    I know what you are going through all to well. My initial bought with BC was 21 years ago and I have had no concerns up until February 2018. I had my first 3D tomo mammogram and it showed an area of increased density in the the breast with prior BC. This prompted my first ultrasound, then MRI which showed a second lesion that had never never been seen on mammogram. The lesion oforiginal concern was determined to be scar tissue and the second lesion was biopsied on Thursday. I received partial good news on yesterday that a bilateral ultrasound taken on Thursday came back normal. I now wait for the results of the biopsy. The good of this whole ordeal is I will have a final answer next week. Hang in there as you are close to your final answer as well. Praying for b9 results. Hugs!!!

    Thank you Rhonda J. I actually couldn't have the biopsy last Monday because they couldn't see the mass on US. This was in some ways good news but others just more of a waiting game because they recommended an MRI guided biopsy which I am having tomorrow AM. I am just very ready for this to be done with but I know I will have another week of waiting after this too. I have found it hard to focus and have just been pushing through to get done with the essentials the past few weeks. Thank you for the good wishes!
