Got my biopsy today....now more waiting. I'm going nuts!

Hi ladies. I'm new here. My mom has a 2nd bout of breast cancer right now. I'm 49. I had 3D mammogram, got called back for ultrasound. Lady giving ultrasound said it was just routine, nothing to worry about. Then got called back for biopsy. Doctor doing biopsy stated that the reason I was there is because while gray and white show cyst, this was black and showed mass ( my colors could be wrong lol). She said good thing is the borders look smooth. And it's small. 2 mm I think. She gave me the 80 percent talk, but still it's hard to not let your brain go to the dark side. Now 3 to 5 days is going to go by really slow! I can use any prayers and good thoughts. By the way. The biopsy was not bad at all!

    Mommakat23, ugggg the dreaded call back. I’m sorry you have to go through it.I just went through the same, thankfully no biopsy required. I was fine, again thankfully. Lots of folks here have been through it many times over the years. I can only hope to deal with it with the grace that they do. Yes it is so easy to let the mind drift, but try to hang tight to the 80% stat, it is very real. Besides smooth descriptors are good news too. They’re being careful, another good thing. You have a wonderful and supportive community to see you through this. Try your best to keep busy doing things you love and post here whenever you need.
