I had a partial mastectomy 3/12 and it was a perfect recovery no pain at all. Wasn’t uncomfortable was fine. I could feel how much she took out had a big indent about size of a gold ball. Now I have a huge egg. No indent just a hard big egg. Anyone know why or what it could be? Thank you

P. S. - pathology showed no clean margins and now a invasive cancer. More surgery for me.

    possibly a seroma

    You should inform your breast surgeon in the morning though. This was in my post-op instructions.

    Yes definitely contact your surgeon. That happened to me and it's a hematoma. My LX was 2/13 and it's better, but still there. It should be checked out and have them decide if they want to do anything about it.

    So sorry that you didn't have clean margins and especially for the additional diagnois!
