Upcoming total duct excision surgery

Hello,

I’m new here. I’ve been having spontaneous bloody discharge from my left nipple for about a month now. After a diagnostic mammogram, and ultrasound, I went for an mri. The mri shows an enlarged duct that is retaining blood and other unknown debris. My options are to wait 3-6 months and be re-checked, or to have a total duct excision. Given the fact that my mom passed from breast cancer, I’m opting to not wait, in case there is something growing in there. My surgery is April 9th.

So my question is, has anyone had this, and were you ultimately diagnosed with bc? I am so tried all the time, and I’m worried that it’s because there is cancer growing inside that’s robbing my body of energy.
