Is it just anxiety or really something to worry about
My mom had lumps in her breasts for past few years..she always had a light pain .she had early mammography but everything came out to be fine..now her pain has increased sometimes the temperature of the breasts differ..like the area feels to be warmer than rest of the body ..she again had mammography and FNAC test on recommendation of doctor and there were no signs of cancer..but now there is a lump developing in her armpit that is slightly painful and a colourless odourless liquid oozed out of nipples ..now she has got really anxious inspite of all the tests. We really can't afford to run for tests again and again..my father says it's just anxiety ..but she keeps thinking about it all the time ..as a daughter I am also worried

Yes, understandably you are concerned, and your mother. We really can't offer medical advice, but due to the new changes that she is experiencing (secretion from her nipples, etc.), it makes sense to get it checked by a doctor. If she isn't satisfied with her current doctor, perhaps a second opinion would be beneficial.
Hang in there. We're all here for you

Hi there and that does sound stressful. Why don't you ask for copies of her most recent mammography report? It sounds like it could be a benign pappiloma, but the reports and test results might tell you for sure. Or if the diagnosis of the lump near her armpit isn't clear from those reports, you could bring them to an oncologist at a different hospital and get a second opinion.

Maybe she could also request an MRI. Studies have shown MRI to detect cancer before it even starts. I’ve been reading on this a lot myself because of everything going on. Keep us posted

I don'the know of you are in the U.S. but recently I found out that planed parenthood offers free breast exams, ultrasound, mammograms to women. In case you want to look into that, I have also seen a post on here somewhere someone mentioned that the Susan G Komen Foundation helps with expenses for testing.
I wish you the best of luck and pray that everything is benign for your mother.

Thank you so much for your reply. You guys are doing a great job and this is the first time i have ever joined a community like this and actually i never expected replies so fast.
Yes my mom has consulted other doctors as she was referred to specialists in other hospital, they said there are no cancer cells but to be cautious and take tests in every six months.

Actually i am not from United States , I am from India. My family is a very average family and rushing to hospitals again and again was indeed becoming a burden ,and i was more worried about the depression my mom was getting into because"cancer" is such a big word!! Then i assured her that its all going to be fine and she should not make assumptions unless doctors tell her anything.
We don't know you people but i am very thankful that all you people are so active about sharing information as i posted and i really felt like that somewhere someone cares!! So all heartful appreciations for all you people out there.
