I am so scared!!
On February 5, I went to get my first mammogram (at the age of 41) I usually don't like going to doctors; however, I changed my lifestyle which included taking care of my body! The doctor called me and told me to come back in to do a second mammogram because they something that worries them. I have big breast, so I was told not to worry it could be fatty tissue! Which was far from the case!! I have a lump on my breast and I am scared!!! I took a biopsy a week ago am waiting for the results!!! I know I am probably over exaggerating, But my anxiety is through the roof! I lived a rough life and I have overcome a lot of obstacles! I truly believe I didn’t come this far for God to leave me but I am so mad and scared right now!! And I feel so alone!!

Hello, I'm in the same boat. I had an ultrasound because of a lump I felt and they called me for a mammogram. I am 35 and just have birth. I was told its "probably benign" but waiting my appt with breast specialist and go from there. My first 3 days were terrible. I was very scared. We have a great chance is nothing and even if it was it should be small and treatable. We have to fight and not give up in my case for my children. God loves is and has not and will not leave us alone. He Is and will be with us every step of the way. It is scary but don't be too worried at least just yet. Enjoy every day, thats what im doing

Hi GodsChild76,
Checking in you to see how you are doing. Any updates on your biopsy results? Praying for all of my sisters in this dilemma. We draw strength from each other. Hugs!!

Thanks everyone for your concern. Turns out that I have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, which they say is a common form of breast cancer! Still trying to process all of this! I would never thought that this would be apart of my story!

Hi GodsChild76,
I’m sorry about the diagnosis and that you find yourself going on a journey you didn’t ask for or deserve. It is a lot to process, but I have every faith you will. I’ll pass along something a dear friend said to me when I was diagnosed....”you’ll never be the same again”. She was right. 4 years out and I’m stronger....much stronger. I see and feel things now that i’d previously ignored. I find more joy in simply feeling rain on my face, or just how awesome another day alive feels. I think I can overcome almost anything now. All this because I fought tooth and nail not to let this evil disease define who I am. I’m still me, only better...and with time, so will you. Be kind to yourself often over the coming days. You will do this! When it gets bad just post, we’re here for you always
