Hi All,

i am 42 and recently diagnosed with Mucinous (colloid) carcinoma. I have my first appointment with my BS on Wednesday. My pathology report from my core biopsy shows ER/PR positive, HeR2 1+ negative.

I have been suffering from Endometriosis, uterine fibroids since Im 34 and most recently told I have a 7cm hemorrhagic ovarian cyst.

My dr was actually going to remove it but my BC was discovered and my uterus treatment came to screeching halt.

I am wondering if my uterus problems are the reason I have cancer now and or what are the chances that cyst turns out to be more?

Will the BS check if I have cancer anywhere else?

This is so scary and Im trying so hard to stay strong for my family. I am so happy I found this forum and read so many stories of such brave woman.

Thank you

RiRi, here is a huge thread on mucinous carcinoma. (I doubt your endometriosis had anything to do with your breast cancer, and I think hemorrhagic cysts are easily identifiable on ultrasound, so likely nothing else.)

I really couldn't say if your uterus issues had anything to do with your breast cancer diagnosis, (probably not), but I wanted to say welcome and hello. Hug
I was 41 when diagnosed, so close to the age you are now. I also had uterine fibroids since my early 30's and ovarian cysts. (Oh, the joys of being a woman, huh? lol!)
I know that right now you are scared and overwhelmed, but you have found a great community here. This place will be such a help to you. I learned more from the ladies here, than I ever did from my oncologists.
I do suggest that you get the book, "Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book" by Dr. Susan Love. (You can find it on Amazon.) Often called "The Bible" for breast cancer patients, that book helped me greatly! I know it would do the same for you.
((((Hugs)))) Hang in there! You WILL get through this!
